Grandson Ben stayed with me a few days of his Spring Break.
We went for a long hike on the new Horse Trails at Silver River State Park. Here are Ben and Roe at the trailhead.
Just hiking along, picking up ticks....
Checking out the wildlife...an inchworm...
Ben spotted this cricket. "We" were a little too noisy to find anything larger.
Back at the stick house, the azaleas are blooming.
Ben tries out the pool, which is still quite cold!
After Ben went home, it was time to go camping with Joselyn during her Spring Break. The State Parks were full, so we returned to Clearwater Lake in the Ocala National Forest.
Roe liked laying in the dirt...
View from the lake trail. Some deer in the woods.
Oops, they saw us.
Hiking was limited because Joselyn has to wear this "boot" due to torn tendons.
Red-bellied woodpecker?
Campground road.
In the campground we met the owner/manufacturer of this teardrop style travel trailer.
And he gave us a guided tour.
The back opens to reveal a galley area. An outside sink mounts on the side.
Inside, a dinette converts to a double bed.
And a pull-down bunk will fit a child.
Sunset at Clearwater Lake
Sandhill Cranes flying in at dusk.
Then rose the bright and beautiful Super Moon.
Back to camping beside my house...
